This "green wall" or vertical garden is clinging to the wall on one of the buildings of the Caixa Forum. This combination of man made architecture and nature was designed by botanist Patrick Blanc. As of March 2007 all new or newly renovated Spanish buildings must be equipped with solar panels that provide 30 to 70 percent of hot water.
