The architects of the Eastgate Centre(a shopping and office building) in Harare used the principles of biomimicry to economically control the building's climate. Biomimicry copies the successful design of indigenous natural systems in order to solve human problems. The Eastgate Centre uses the same temperature regulation principles as a local termite mound.
