every two years a small town on the Spanish-Portuguese border is home to the Boom Festival. What started as a celebration for the trance culture, has not only evolved into a festival full of art,sculpture and music, but now strives to incorporate ecology,permaculture,sustainability and education from many global cultures. The festival is synchronized with August's full moon and while there, if you look out into the horizon, you will see Monsanto; Portugal's oldest city.
